Prepared with care,
returned with respect.

Postpartum care should be intentional and individualized. Your placenta is prepared using food safety protocols and comes with the options to include carefully selected supportive herbs traditionally used for mood support, milk production, and nourishment to support your transition into motherhood.

Our process

From pickup to delivery, every step is handled with care safety, and respect.

Your Placenta is packed with vitamins and nutrients such as B6, B12, and iron, as well as progesterone and estrogen, which both fluctuate significantly after birth. Consuming your placenta can help aid in your postpartum recovery by balancing your hormonal and nutrient deficit post birth.

01

We will collect your placenta within 24 hours after you have your baby.

02

If we do not collect your placenta immediately after birth, please store it in a refrigerator to maintain its temperature until we arrive for pickup.

03

Once we have your placenta, we will have it encapsulated and return it to you within 3 days. You have the option of adding herbs when we encapsulate to help aid in postpartum recovery and milk production — at no extra cost to you.

04

We will personally deliver your placenta back to you, so you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home.
Each placenta is prepared individually in our sanitized studio using a careful, time-tested method.

01

We start by steaming your placenta to 180 degrees.

02

Your placenta is placed in a double boiler with ginger and lemon. Their antibacterial properties, along with the steaming process, ensure all bacteria is removed from the surface of the placenta.

03

Once cooled, we remove the umbilical cord and remaining membranes before slicing it into 1/4 inch strips to be placed in the dehydrator.

04

The final step is grinding the dehydrated placenta to be encapsulated in pill form and packaged ready for consumption.
Consuming your placenta can have the following benefits:

01

Increase in energy and less fatigue.

02

Hormonal balance, decreasing chances of postpartum depression.

03

Increase in milk supply.

04

Decreased postpartum bleeding.

05

Increase in iron levels and blood building, helping to prevent anemia.

06

Your placenta will be bottled and delivered to your door along with an instructional manual to guide you through the best way to consume and store your placenta pills.

Safety first

We follow rigorous bloodborne pathogen and food-safety protocols. Our studio is sanitized between every client, and equipment is used for a single placenta at a time. Encapsulation is a personal choice; we share information openly so you can decide what feels right for your family.
